Margie is a self-taught contemporary artist from Gort co. Galway. Her process is guided by emotion and her work mainly explores the human experience-both her own internal world, in particular motherhood, and the experiences of life generally, including joy, pain and embodiment. Her background as a physiotherapist has influenced her understanding of the complexity of the human experience, which she expresses through colour, layering of medium and mark making.
